Q: Where can I get the newest browser for my computer?

A: The Kansas City Public Library suggests that you use Internet Explorer as your preferred browser. You can download the IE browser at www.microsoft.com. If you are already running the Windows OS, you may already be using Internet Explorer and can update your computer and the browser by choosing Tools > Windows Update. The internet has a number of other browsers including Netscape and Opera. For a list of browsers on the web, go to Yahoo's Web Browser directory.

Q: Your website doesn't look right in my browser. What's wrong?

A: This could be for a variety of reasons, but the most likely reason is because your browser is not updated. Read the previous question to find out how to update your browser. The website may not function properly if your Security Settings are set to High or you have certain options disabled. To make changes to your security settings in Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options, and choose the Security tab. Click Custom Level button and choose a lower security setting.

Q: How do I contact the library?

A: View our Contact the Library page for more information.
